Duties
- Provide direct support to residents by assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring any changes are communicated to the nursing staff.
- Assist residents with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring individuals safely.
- Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Support residents in maintaining their dignity and independence while providing compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in direct support roles or working with people with disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with long-term care settings such as nursing homes or memory care facilities is advantageous.
