Staff Accountant

Position: Staff Accountant

Location: Wilmington, NC

Pay: $45,000/year

Experience: 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Greene Resources is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Manage various accounting and data entry tasks
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
• Ensures that all inquiries are resolved satisfactorily, following up as necessary to confirm that issues have been addressed and solutions are effective
• Work effectively with different teams or departments to ensure project objectives are met, offering support and expertise where needed
• Execute general journal entries to correct invoices, ensuring accurate financial records by transferring sales from one vertical market to another
• Oversee the accuracy and completeness of customer data within the ERP system, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and correctly reflects business operations
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices

Position Requirements:

• Proficiency in ERP software, and strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in data entry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
