What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Support Technician II position at Greenfield Public Schools?
The primary responsibilities of the position:
- Provides hands-on hardware and software support for faculty and student users at multiple locations
- Manages and supports the deployment, and collection of technology equipment
- Troubleshoot intermediate to advanced LAN/WAN connectivity for all networked devices. Coordinates troubleshooting efforts with appropriate IT staff and informs local administration with resolution status.
- Ensure all software and hardware are up-to-date and install Microsoft or security updates as required
-- Supports staff in the use of digital technology equipment, maintains equipment inventory and related technology resources
- - Responds in a timely fashion to trouble tickets submitted through the Technology helpdesk system
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology
Administrative and Network Support:
- - Manage network equipment including;
• Maintains network switch closet Ethernet wiring;
• Monitor network traffic for capacity and troubleshooting as directed
• Documents the physical installations of network servers, systems and data switches;
• In collaboration with User Support, terminates network data, voice, and phone wiring;
• Perform diagnostics on broadband, Ethernet and networking systems
-- Assists Data Manager with School Data Sync, Clever, PowerSchool and other database frameworks.
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 4:30pm (12-month position with 12 paid holidays, with a 30 min. unpaid lunch).
SALARY RANGE: per IT contract
