What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asst Branch Manager position at Greenfield Savings?
Summary:
The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in all areas of branch leadership. This includes but is not limited to customer service, sales, operations, compliance, training, and culture. The ABM may have direct supervisory authority of staff, as deemed necessary by the Branch Manager.
This position includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that staff offer a level of service that is unparalleled and solutions focused while balancing risk and the regulatory requirements of the bank
- With the Branch Manager, responsible for the overall operational soundness of the branch. This includes all teller and customer service functions
- Ensures the adherence to policy and procedure within the branch, and that staff always takes the time to get tasks right – the first time
- Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values a commitment to quality
- Ensures that bank resources, including staff, are being used efficiently and productively
- Must work with Branch Manager in ensuring that staff is being developed and trained in areas that are specific to their personal growth as well as in topics deemed necessary by the Bank
- Mentors, coaches, and trains staff to ensure customer service, sales, operational, and compliance objectives are being met
- Collaborates effectively within Retail and with other departments
- With branch manager, establish and lead a solutions-based sales environment focused on deepening relationships with new and existing customers
- Works with branch staff to partner with other lines of business in providing meaningful customer referrals (Mortgage, Infinex, Wealth Management, Commercial, etc.)
- Collaborating with Branch Manager, monitors staff performance via conducting performance reviews on time, developing goals for individuals by establishing structured Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), setting objectives and priorities and providing appropriate accountability and coaching.
- Provides guidance and support to branch staff regarding escalated customer concerns, branch operations and risk management.
- Represent the Bank in various civic and community activities.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of experience in a sales environment with a solid track record
- 2-3 years of financial services experience
- 2-3 years of leadership experience
- Great interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
- Organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs
- Must be able to work Saturdays
- If needed, must be able to travel between branches
- Demonstrate a sound level of cultural competence, communicating with a diverse customer base
