Position requires ability to move with ease in the production area; possess physical strength and stamina to remain in stationary/standing position for prolonged periods; use hands and fingers for potentially repetitive handling, gripping, and manipulating product, tools, and equipment; position oneself to complete work including bending, balancing, twisting, rotating, stooping, climbing, moving over uneven surfaces; push, pull and reach; and lift, carry, move or position objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to operating machinery with moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, forklift and crane operations, and vibration as well as varied exposure to noise. Personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toed footwear required. Additional PPE may be required based upon work. This is a safety-sensitive position, and impairment while performing the tasks or duties of this role could pose a health and safety risk to both the individual performing the tasks as well as those around them. Dependent upon location, the facility may or may not be a climate-controlled plant which could result in varied hot and cold temperatures swings at times.

The Details

Essential Job Duties
- Install, repair and maintain electrical and mechanical components of industrial equipment.
- Use electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills and experience in electrical distribution to identify issues with machinery in the industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Read schematics, blueprints and other technical documents.
- Understand electrical systems and meters including installation of EMT and ridged conduits.
- Work within systems including arc flash.
- Work with maintenance team and help diagnose various issues with machinery and troubleshoot equipment
- Sit, stand, bend, kneel and carry up to 75-pounds for an 8-hour shift.
- Manage projects and make decisions individually to contribute to a team environment.
- Experience in the following: programing, machining, automation/robotics, RIGID and EMT installations
- Experience with PLC’s and computer systems
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Formal education or High School Diploma/GED OR a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the industrial environment.
- Apprentice or Journeyman card
