This role involves managing and maintaining student health, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, collaborating with various stakeholders, and fostering a healthy and supportive environment for students and staff, located in Rochester, NY.
Schedule of the Registered Nurse:
- This is a Full-time position.
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:
- Provide oversight for school health services at assigned school sites.
- Develop and monitor health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
- Conduct health screenings, including vision, hearing, dental, scoliosis, and nutritional assessments.
- Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide crisis nursing care.
- Maintain student health records and ensure compliance with state and local health policies.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to support student health.
- Provide health education to students, families, and school personnel.
- Participate in 504 and IEP meetings to provide medical expertise.
- Supervise and train LPNs and other support staff in specialized healthcare procedures.
