Project Manager - Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Currently looking for a Project Manager to support the NG MA AMI deployment, based in the Boston/MA area. Preferred Qualifications:Engineering degree or technical backgroundExperience supporting or managing AMI deployments for utility customers An Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project Manager for electrical companies leads the end-to-end deployment of smart meter systems, managing budgets, timelines, and technical resources from planning to rollout. They coordinate with vendors and field teams, handle data system integrations, ensure safety compliance, and report on project status. Key Responsibilities in Advanced Metering (AMI):Project Planning & Scheduling: Defines the scope, timeline, and resource requirements for large-scale smart meter deployments, including managing subcontractor teams for installation.System Integration & Technical Coordination: Oversees the integration of new smart meters with existing utility data systems, software, and communication networks.Operational Management: Coordinates the logistics of meter exchanges, ensures network installations meet specifications, and troubleshoots field issues.Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Acts as the primary contact for utility providers, customers, and vendors, providing status updates and addressing complaints.Budgeting & Quality Control: Tracks project costs, manages contracts, and ensures all installations comply with safety and performance standards.
