The Greenville Chamber is a business and economic development organization dedicated to cultivating a globally competitive regional economy where businesses succeed, and people prosper. The Chamber leads, convenes, and mobilizes the business community to drive economic growth across the Upstate region, with the primary goal of "Growing a Greater Greenville."
The Vice President, Investor Development and Engagement is responsible for developing and executing the Greenville Chamber's membership growth strategy. This role will oversee all membership-related activities, including team management, new Investor acquisition, Investor renewals, and sponsorship revenue. This position will work closely with executive leadership to drive sustainable growth and achieve organizational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing revenue generating team.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to team.
- Establish clear performance expectations and metrics.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- New Investor Acquisition:
- Develop and implement effective new Investor acquisition strategies.
- Identify and target potential Investors through market research and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling value propositions.
- Investor Renewals:
- Implement strategies to maximize Investor renewal rates.
- Analyze Investor data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide exceptional experiences to enhance Investor satisfaction.
- Sponsorship Revenue:
- Identify and cultivate potential sponsorship partners.
- Develop and negotiate sponsorship packages.
- Manage sponsorship relationships and deliver on commitments.
- Measure and report on sponsorship revenue performance.
- Revenue Planning and Forecasting:
- Develop annual and long-term revenue forecasts.
- Track revenue performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee revenue budgeting and expense management.
- Monitor membership and membership revenue performance to achieve related goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of solid sales leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in building and nurturing trusted relationships with business and community leaders, as well as prospective and current chamber Investors.
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently prioritize responsibilities and organize workload effectively.
Evaluation of Job Performance:
- Actual performance vs monthly sales goals and organizational budget.
- Bi-yearly review with reporting manager(s).
- Annual performance review.
