Position Title: Golf Pro Shop Attendant
Reports to: Director of Golf/Head Golf Professional
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Job Summary
The Pro Shop Attendant provides customer service and sales assistance in the Golf Pro Shop.
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provides customer service to club members and their guests.
- Answers questions concerning club services and tournaments.
- Ensures all members and guests are checked in and billed properly.
- Assists members and guests with merchandise selections.
- Completes merchandise sales transactions through the golf shop POS system.
- Orders special order merchandise for members.
- Provides other member services as requested, such as taking phone messages and reserving tee times.
- Maintains Golf Pro Shop and all storage areas, keeping areas tidy and clean.
- Promotes daily Golf Pro Shop sales, events and tournaments in professional manner.
- Orders, develops and maintains merchandise displays, as needed.
- Assists with completing monthly inventory counts.
- Completes golf pro shop email and signage marketing assignments, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary to the position.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in retail, customer service, or sales, a plus
- Service and customer focused attitude
- Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task
- General computer skills with ability to operate the POS (training provided, as needed)
- Previous golf knowledge, a plus
