Description:
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator works with third-party logistics providers and
carriers in support of the logistics and sales functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate and collaborate with internal staff as necessary to accommodate customer needs
- Coordinate with internal and external logistics personnel to arrange release of product and shipments;
- work with third party logistics companies to meet customer delivery requirements
- Coordinating, scheduling and organizing shipments
- Assist in coordination and monitoring supply chain operations
- Plan and track shipment of products
- Assist in identifying, investigating, and assisting in correcting inventory discrepancies
- Enter Logistics orders and verify shipments into software system
- Arrange transportation of product in time sensitive, cost-effective manner
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics role preferred
- Customer service orientation, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal and relationship
- management skills and a willingness to go above and beyond to complete the task(s)
- Energetic, positive, and motivated; displaying initiative, accountability, desire to learn, and ability to
- multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, math ability and problem-solving skills
- Ability and desire to learn quickly through research and using available resources.
- Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office software, and ability to quickly learn new
- processes, procedures, and business systems
- Ability to understand food safety principles and other basic food science concepts
- Inventory management skills a plus
- Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat and kneel
