Our land planning team leverages the expertise and collaborative thinking of civil engineers, landscape architects, and planners to provide custom solutions that help grow livable communities.
We are seeking a Land Survey Technician to join our Land Planning Market and provide land surveying services within the Middle Tennessee region.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct boundary, topographic, title and construction staking surveys.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports of surveys.
- Perform record maps and document research.
- Knowledge of surveying general practices and principles and the operation of various survey instruments.
- Knowledge of basic engineering, construction, building, and design principles.
- Ability to read and interpret renderings, maps, and construction drawings.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, Associate degree in land surveying or engineering-related field is strongly preferred.
- One year of surveying experience is strongly desired; an Associate's degree may substitute for experience. Previous experience as a survey rodman or instrument person is a plus, but not required.
- Working knowledge of data collection software, Robotic total stations, GPS, 3D Laser Scanner is desired.
- Ability to work outside, in various terrains, year-round & lift up to 50lbs.
- Valid driver’s license required.
