Position Title: Sales Representative
Department: Sales & Marketing
Position reports to: Sales Manager
Primary purpose and function of position: Sell in supplier products and provide value added services to retail accounts by maintaining appropriate inventory levels, providing resources to promote product sell through and maintaining required call frequency through scheduled account visits.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain retail call frequency at assigned accounts, develop and implement strategies to grow sales, book and execute sampling events, gain taps, build and restock displays as needed, place POCM and sell in additional shelf space.
Communicate monthly pricing information, suggestively sell-in consumer price points and proactively manage price gaps versus competition
Introduce and sell in new and existing brands and packages including activities to support sell through as necessary.
Plan, and assist local execution of Grey Eagle and supplier marketing programs
Execute evening and weekend promotions as necessary
Perform all necessary administrative duties relevant to position (i.e. tracking reports, point sheets, work orders, surveys, promotional recaps, expense reports, etc.)
Communicate with all Company departments as necessary
Establish and monitor quality control standards (product freshness, finished product loss)
Comply with all Grey Eagle and supplier standards and policies
Adhere to all Federal, State, and Local liquor regulations
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or GED certificate required
Two years sales experience
Highly self-motivated, positive attitude; projecting a friendly, courteous & professional image
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent customer orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to safely operate job related equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, lifts, etc.)
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to: repetitively handling cases of beer, reaching above head height, climbing, bending, twisting, squatting and kneeling including frequently lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling package product weighing 50 plus pounds; and draught product weighing up to 165 pounds
Valid driver license and safe driving record
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
Technologically proficient; including familiarity with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and IOS operating systems
Ability to perform all essential job functions and duties as assigned
