What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Product Data Scientist position at Greylock?
An early-stage investment of ours is looking to make their first categorical hire (employee #3) in Data Science. We're looking for a Sr/Staff DS with a strong background in Product DS/User Behavior Modeling, Quant/Stats, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Python who's looking to get broader ownership with more impact and has a strong entrepreneurial bend as well. Note: this is a "full-stack" DS role, where you spend a good amount of time coding.
Qualifications:
- MS / PhD with 3 years industry experience in quantitative/statistical analysis of large-scale problems leading data science efforts, ideally for a marketplace (or consumer company)
- Strong background in statistics with proficient coding skills and ability to work as an IC in production environments (as needed)
