Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Auditor ensures compliance with the airline Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program as per the Code of Federal Regulations. Responsible for managing Gridiron Air Technical Operations Quality Assurance Program, QA Audit Programs, oversight of QA Vendor management, and regulatory and business case oversight of support facilities as they apply to powerplant, airframe, articles, shops, or vendors, including MRO’s.
This role requires technical expertise in Gridiron Air Ops Specs, CFRs, and Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program. The QA auditor assists in developing, establishing, and enforcing quality assurance standards for maintenance, engineering, and vendor management. The QA Auditor will also Monitor and report on the quality management system's performance, collaborate with auditors and staff, and advise on changes. Primary Job Duties:
- Plan, execute, and review audits of 121/145 shop maintenance or vendor activity
- Provide data supporting Quality Assurance Program and Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) auditing
- Develop targeted checklists, prepare technical reports, and track audit findings ensuring closure of all audits
- Manage day-to-day quality and compliance activities, including batch record review, process validation, change control, non-conformance investigations, customer complaints, and new process introduction
- Implement compliance programs, perform annual product reviews, track, and report quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement
- Perform quality assessments to determine compliance with internal policies/guidelines and regulatory commitments/requirements
- Coordinate and participate in investigations, identify, and resolve compliance risks, and assist work sites in preparing for Regulatory Authority inspections
- Ensure critical supply chain issues are included in Technical Operations action plans
- Develops remediation plans to address technical and compliance gaps and conducts Quality System Management Reviews
- Prepare Key Quality Indicator (KQI) and Quality System Management reports
- Effectively monitor performance indicators and quickly identifies and addresses personnel and process problems affecting performance or compliance
- Develop relationships with production, engineering, supply, operations, and other relevant departments
- Identify and implement work process improvements in support of QA and business goals
- Develops and installs procedures and control to promote communication and adequate information flow where necessary
- Maintains compliance with hardware and software systems to assist in the smooth and efficient flow of information
- Ensure compliance with regulations and laws
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate the completion of work plans, new directives, and new objectives across all assigned groups
- Validates maintenance, repair, engineering, vendor management, and related processes through careful testing and analysis to maximize the benefit of business investments in compliance and quality initiatives
- Ability to travel frequently as needed domestically and internationally
- Additional duties as required, adapting to evolving needs and contributing to business success
Qualifications:
- Airline and aircraft maintenance technical knowledge
- Application of airline and aircraft maintenance knowledge to quality assurance activities
- Understanding and creation of plans utilizing technical, process, and measurement data
- Knowledge of quality assurance program design principles and methods
- Working knowledge and application of Gridiron Air policies, FAA, OSHA, EPA, and CFRs
- Must be able to pass the FAA criminal background check for unescorted airport access
- Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customer security badges, if applicable
- Successful history in maintenance or production process improvement

Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, maintenance engineering, or maintenance auditing
- Management experience is a plus
- Quality Assurance experience in the industry is a plus
- Experience in the airline industry preferred
Education & Licensing:
- A&P License required
- Related technical undergraduate degree is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related degree is a plus

- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or crouch as needed
