Job Summary
Gridless is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing our procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in purchasing within our industry.
Duties
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies to meet the company’s procurement needs.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production and logistics teams to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and plan purchasing activities accordingly.
- Manage supplier performance, including addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support production schedules.
Skills
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful supplier agreements.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience in security, solar, or battery industry is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
