Summary: The Account Director (AD) is responsible for growing established partnerships in the Protein Processor segment aligned to our Long-Range Plan (LRP) by leveraging Griffith Foods’ core capabilities. The AD is instrumental in planning and executing against growth metrics through effective resources allocation, optimizing return.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
Leads market & account planning sessions to establish priorities and objectives that deliver to Griffith Foods Long Range Plan (LRP), while tying back to customer goals.
Achieves sales/volume/profitability expectations by prioritizing opportunities and focusing resources to target those with the highest potential return.
Customer Development
Builds value focused customer-centric partnerships to sustain business growth, guiding long-term competitive advantage / differentiation.
Find innovative solutions, build relationships, and grow sales in collaboration with commercial team to drive customer opportunities and solve challenges.
Applies knowledge of Griffith Foods product portfolio and customer applications and/or processes to drive targeted engagement
Applies financial and business analysis tools to foster strategic mutual partnership with our customers
Sales Operational Effectiveness
Leverages CRM for effective project management, customer maintenance & internal communication of key activities.
Utilizes value based selling model to execute sales strategies that align to customer growth objectives.
Manages risk through forecasting activities & other provided tools to support net working capital goals while still meeting customer requirements.
Qualifications:
College degree required. MBA preferred.
10 years’ sales experience
Proven experience in acquiring new and building current business relationships.
Experience with custom products required. Experience in Alternative Protein, Natural, Clean label and/or Organic channels preferred.
Up to 50% travel- primarily domestic, limited regional.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals and functional areas within the company and outside the company.
