We are looking for motivated, reliable cashiers to join our George Washington Way team!
Here at Grigg’s Ace our cashiers exemplify the foundation of our service to each customer as they enter and leave the store. Candidates well suited for our Cashier role are customer focused, have a friendly and approachable personality, enjoy working as part of a team, and can remain motivated when completing repetitive tasks.
Duty Summary:
- Project a positive representation of Griggs and Ace Hardware
- Offer Ace Rewards and explain the benefits to every customer
- Enthusiastically participate in fundraising/charitable events
- Greet customers entering and throughout the store and thank customers for shopping in our stores
- Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates
- Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently
- Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively
- Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance
- Continually build product knowledge base and possess the ability to assist customers with store layout and product location
- Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise
Requirements:
- Retail cashier experience a plus!
- Open availability to work a flexible schedule
- Great customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Great communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent physical stamina
- Standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25lbs)
Pay: $16.28/hour
Schedule: Part time, 20-30 hours per week. May work week days, weekends, and holidays.
