What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Worker glass position at Griggs & Son Glass and Mirror?
Job Summary
Must have construction experience
Previous experience in setting windows and doors a plus
Assist in cutting, fabricating and installing residential and commercial glass; take & follow directions, cleaning up the shop, assist owners in any way as well as inspecting/loading glass
Experience in the construction/carpentry trade is needed but with glass we are willing to train. This person needs to be able to follow instructions, read a tape measure accurately, and must have a valid Driver’s License. The right candidate should be self-motivated, hardworking, reliable, and safety-conscious with customer service skills.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a must.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently when required.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred.
