Key Responsibilities :
- Laboratory Management : Oversee the daily operations of the laboratories, ensuring quality and efficiency in all processes.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure laboratories meet all accreditation and regulatory requirements, including JCAHO, CMS, and CLIA standards.
- Policy Oversight : Develop and enforce technical and administrative policies and procedures.
- Financial Management : Manage laboratory budgets, optimize costs without sacrificing service quality, and implement capital equipment into operations.
- Collaboration : Work closely with hospital administration, physicians, and clinical staff to enhance performance and patient care.
- Team Leadership : Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to laboratory staff, promoting a positive and efficient work environment.
- Problem Solving : Partner with the Laboratory Medical Director to resolve technical issues and recommend process improvements.
Job Requirements :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 10 years of general medical laboratory experience, including 5 years of supervisory experience.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic health records (EHR).
