We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Dog Bather. As a Dog Bather, you will play a critical role in providing essential grooming services to our canine clients, including bathing, drying, and preparing them for grooming by our professional groomers.
Responsibilities:
- Bathe and shampoo dogs using appropriate grooming products
- Dry dogs using towels and/or dryers
- Brush and comb dogs' fur to remove tangles and mats
- Clean and trim nails
- Clean ears and check for infections
- Assist groomers with restraining and handling dogs during grooming procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized bathing area
- Follow grooming instructions and special requests from clients
- Monitor dogs for any signs of discomfort or health issues and report to supervisor
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dog bather is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with care and patience
- Knowledge of basic dog grooming techniques and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Passion for working with dogs and commitment to their welfare
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
