What You'll do:
We are seeking an experienced SAFe Scrum Master / Team Coach (SM/TC) to support Agile SAP delivery on a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) program. In this role, you will facilitate team-level Agile ceremonies, coordinate dependencies, track performance and risks, and partner closely with the Product Owner and delivery leadership to ensure predictable, high-quality sprint execution. You will champion SAFe best practices while proactively identifying issues, improving team efficiency, and maintaining transparency on schedule and delivery impacts.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for one or more Agile software development teams
- Support weekly leadership syncs and quarterly planning meetings and retrospectives
- Coordinate dependencies between different teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration
- Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation plans as necessary
- Communicate with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues
- Assist the Product Owner (PO) in maintaining the team backlog to organize and prioritize work
- Monitor team performance and track key metrics
- Be a champion of SAFe agile methodology and coach team members on Agile best practices
- Support the project manager and/or program manager in creating, reviewing, and finalizing contract deliverables
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiencies
- Monitor potential schedule and/or budget impacts and provide regular updates to leadership
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret level security clearance. Preference will be given to candidates who already possess an active DOD clearance.
2 years Agile software development experience
5 years of experience with Scrum specific to data and software engineering lifecycles
3 years of experience with U.S. Army business process(i.e. AESIP, LMP, GCSS, GFEBs, Navy ERP, etc.) preferred
This is a remote role with travel as required to support the program (Conferences or meetings - expect less than 10%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
Experience with one or more of the following: Budget, FM, FI, CM, PS, CO, PPS, Payments, MM, SD, PS, SCM, D&S, QM, BPT

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$90,269.00 - $180,756.00
