Job Summary
Group14 is seeking a Billing Specialist with a strong understanding of project-based invoicing within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry to join our Finance team in support of our mission.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end billing process for a high volume of Group14 projects, including time and materials, lump sum, and percentage-of-completion contracts.
- Manage and coordinate subconsultants invoices for inclusion with our billing process
- Prepare, review, and distribute accurate and timely client invoices according to contractual terms and company policies. This includes collaboration with project managers, contract staff, and clients.
- Maintain accurate and organized billing records, including supporting schedule of values, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Respond to client billing inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures related to billing and accounts receivable.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the finance department.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Controller or Finance Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in billing within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of project accounting principles and contract types common in the AEC industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complicated ideas to audiences with various levels of knowledge on topics
- Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with teammates, clients, and other outside third parties in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in Google Workspace, MS Office and Asana
