Part-Time Childcare Assistant – Bilingual Family Childcare (Bowie, MD)
Growing in Grace & Wisdom Bilingual Learning is a family childcare program in Bowie, Maryland, dedicated to creating a nurturing, bilingual (English–Spanish) environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Assistant to join our team.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Location: Bowie, Maryland
- Type: Part-Time
- Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
The Part-Time Assistant will support the lead teacher in daily classroom activities, help supervise children, assist with meals, playtime, and learning activities, and contribute to maintaining a safe, positive, and caring environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Loves working with children and enjoys supporting their growth and learning
- Patient, caring, and responsible with strong attention to safety and communication
- Able to communicate in English and has a basic understanding of Spanish
- Previous childcare experience is a plus but not required—training will be provided
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily routines, activities, and transitions
- Supervise children indoors and outdoors
- Support a bilingual learning environment (English and Spanish)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in play and learning areas
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and follow established schedules and safety procedures
