Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and enhance end-to-end claims processes including intake, adjudication, and resolution
- Lead discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements for claims platform enhancements
- Guide solution design efforts and support configuration/testing for claims-related systems
- Mentor junior analysts and support change management efforts across claims initiatives
- Translate complex business needs into functional specs, use cases, and process maps
- Develop metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of claims operations and drive continuous improvement
- Partner with IT teams to resolve processing and reporting issues and deploy new claims capabilities
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes, industry best practices, and emerging tools relevant to P&C claims
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on P&C claims
- Proven track record of leading projects related to claims system modernization, automation, or analytics
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks governing workers' compensation and other P&C lines
- Strong documentation skills and experience with process modeling, user stories, and test planning
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with platforms or tools related to claims management (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc. is a plus)
- Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, or Six Sigma are highly preferred
