Purpose:

The Product Technical Specialist is responsible for providing in-depth technical support for paving and material processing machines and related products. This role serves as the technical expert and liaison between service, sales, and customers, ensuring optimal performance, support, and training for these product lines.  This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, optimizing machine operation and efficiency, and supporting internal and external stakeholders with expert guidance. The specialist bridges the gap between product support, field application, and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for paving, milling, and crushing equipment.
  • Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and contractors regarding the application and performance of paving and material processing equipment (e.g., asphalt, concrete, additives)
  • Conduct on-site visits to support construction and paving projects, ensuring proper use of machines and compliance with standards
  • Maintain documentation and training materials related to paving materials and construction practices
  • Conduct on-site machine inspections and providing estimates for parts and service repairs
  • Conduct on-site training sessions for technicians, operators, and sales staff
  • Support customers with technical inquiries and escalations
  • All other duties assigned

 

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment support, ideally with paving, asphalt milling, or crushing/screening machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of paving materials, their properties, and application methods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to interpret schematics, manuals, and engineering drawings
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
