GTI specializes in the design, engineering, fabrication, and deployment of custom modular structures, shipping container-based structures, and ballistic metal fabrication. We serve multiple industries, including DOD contractors, military, disaster relief, and commercial markets. Our containerized and modular solutions are all built in-house at our factory in Buffalo, NY. Manufacturing capabilities range from military training, live fire enclosures, bathroom / shower units, expeditionary camps, medical facilities, water treatment, electrical / energy storage enclosures, and much more.

The Structural Engineer will assist in the design of prefabricated metal enclosures. With this role, the individual will be performing design analysis and calculations for steel weldments and structures.
Job Responsibilities :
- Structural steel analysis and design to meet current building code standards for gravity, wind and seismic
- Utilize RISA 3D structural analysis software
- Connection design calculations. Mechanical fasteners, rivets, screws, bolts, and weld design
- Review designs for manufacturability
- Communicate design to mechanical detailers and drafters
- Produce design calculation packages for submission to customers
- Perform FEA analysis of weldment structures with Solidworks Simulation
- Review design models with design team during design
- Meet with customers on a regular basis. Coordinate and communicate design with customers.
- Support GTI's Engineers and Designers.
