Pharmacy Technician

Through advanced knowledge or specialized skill, the Pharmacy Technician - Fulfillment III, serves as a subject matter expert and departmental resource.  Performs Fulfillment Technician tasks independently and exercises critical problem solving to resolve customer service issues.

SCHEDULE: MONDAY - SATURDAY 8AM-4PM

Essential Job Functions (include the following):

• Consistently perform all activities and duties of Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician II at above standard performance levels.
• Serve as subject matter expert and departmental resource in the majority of fulfillment workflows.  Provide assistance and mentor new fulfillment pharmacy technicians.
• Using advanced knowledge, independently troubleshoot, research and resolve customer service issues that require judgement and critical thinking.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
• Assist with optimizing the safety and efficiency of pharmacy operations and supporting the workflow needs of the department.
• May assist Lead and/or Supervisor in training the Fulfillment staff on processes to ensure Fulfillment technicians are fully trained within established time period.
• Seek opportunities to expand learning beyond baseline competencies with a focus on continual development as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles, assisting in physical inventory, and keeping inventory neat and arranged in-order
• Consistently exceed pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
• Lead by example in all areas of role and supporting the non-negotiable attributes; attitude, dependability, commitment, productivity, efficiency, and upholding policies, and procedures
• Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education and Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements) preferred; National Certification preferred (PTCB)
• 1 years of LTC pharmacy experience

Skills and Qualifications:

• Pharmacy software experience required. Ability to extract reports.
• Proficient in computer applications related to department operations and job function.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
• Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors, inquire about inaccuracies and resolve as appropriate.

• Ability to work flexible hours
