We have immediate openings for Hospital Housekeepers The available schedules are 10-hour shifts working 4 days on and 3 days off. Positions are available in our multitude of specialty departments and ER. We’re a privately-owned veterinary 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital in Brewster, NY.

**Compensation for this position is $18 to $20 per hour, based on experience**

Qualified applicants for this role:

• Proficient at monitoring and maintaining the flow of clean laundry throughout the shift. Able to keep a flow of dirty laundry going into washer, then dryer and then getting folded and put away in a timely fashion so there is always fresh, clean bedding available for use on patients.
• Assist in putting away any inventory brought upstairs by the Purchasing department, such as E-Collars, patient food, and Wee-Wee Pads.
• Twice daily walkthrough of the outside of the building to remove patient waste (“Poop Scoop”) and clean up garbage, cigarette butts, etc.
• Check and empty all garbage across the hospital (treatment rooms, ICU doctor’s office, Radiology, etc.) multiple times.
• Thoroughly clean Radiology twice daily from top to bottom, and check in throughout the day to ensure it is staying clean.
• Check and wash patient food and water dishes in ICU throughout the day.
• Maintain open communication with Supervisor throughout the day to stay on top of any other tasks, projects, or items needing attention.
• Clean non-medical side of the hospital daily. Monitor throughout the day.
• Clean all bathrooms and re-stock them multiple times a day.
• Restock waste bags
• Change all garbage’s and bring to dumpster
• Stock all front of house rooms and keep orderly
• Check work emails twice per day regardless of schedule to ensure each employee is up to date with the hospital’s day to day operations.
• Do other tasks as assigned
