Job Summary/Company
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP & A) Analyst will handle advanced preparation and financial data reporting to drive strategic company financial performance for actionable decision making. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and insightful reports that provide valuable insights into project health, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to track key financial metrics for individual projects and the overall business. Prepare and analyze profitability reports, identifying and communicating any significant deviations to executive leadership.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Translate data findings into actionable recommendations for management to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.
- Prepare and present data-driven reports to senior management, providing clear and concise analyses of key performance indicators, trends, and potential areas of concern.
- Monitor project progress, comparing planned timelines and budgets with actual performance to identify potential roadblocks and ensure timely project completion.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal reporting guidelines, corporate governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Finance or Accounting degree preferred
- 3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Budget Analyst, or in a related business excellence role. Financial planning and analysis experience (FP&A) preferred.
- Proven experience in extensive reporting and business process improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Financial Modeling
- Experience designing budgets for multiple companies/cost centers.
- Experience with budget tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in residential mortgage and real estate industry is highly valued
