Systems Administrator
Guild Associates, Inc. is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team in our Dublin office. The specialist will participate in Guild’s IT support and management efforts including cybersecurity, client and server infrastructure, networking, software applications, data, and user accounts. This specialist also will function as the first point of contact for supporting the technical needs of the business and its employees.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time-management and communication skills which will enable him/her to collaborate well with various employees and leaders within the company. The IT Support Specialist will share ownership of all technical issues with other department members.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and respond to tickets, emails, calls, and messages, providing fast follow-up
- Communicate with both internal and external customers
- Stay up to date on current and innovative technologies and best practices
- Research, test, recommend, and install/implement new solutions
- Configure, update, and secure systems and applications on a scheduled basis
- Asset management lifecycle, procurement, and recycling
- Inform and train employees with regards to technology
- Ensure routine backups are completed and tested
- Proactively monitor systems for performance, and to identify potential troubles before they arise
- Troubleshoot and solve everyday technology problems
- Report on the status of projects and tickets to the IT manager
- Develop documentation of department information such as asset inventory, working knowledge base, and configuration changes
Experience
- Wired and Wireless network technologies
- Windows Client Server infrastructure
- Microsoft 365 Suite
- Ticketing Software
- Endpoint Management software
- PowerShell scripting
- Peripherals including printers, scanners, USB devices/hubs, A/V equipment, etc.
- Mobile devices - both iOS and Android
- Antimalware
- Manufacturing software (2d and 3d CAD)
- Remote Access Software
- Backup software/solutions
- Cybersecurity practices including development and implementation of additional security measures
- Development and maintenance of business relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related degree
- Minimum 2 years technical experience in technologies listed above, which can include home lab work and internships
- Proactive and positive mindset
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Excellent Troubleshooting skills
- Attention to Detail
- Desire to learn
- Occasional Overtime Required
- Occasional travel between buildings within 15-mile radius
