JOB SUMMARY
The warehouse forklift operator is responsible for efficient, safe and accurate unloading of the transport trucks and performing the assigned warehouse maintenance tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must report to work on time and clock in and out properly
- Unload inbound freight and outbound freight
- Verify receiving reports with warehouse manager
- Replenish all pick locations and areas
- Ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and properly stored
- Be aware of code dates and load the oldest product first
- Inspect all cases unloaded to ensure they are in sellable condition
- Responsible for assisting in all functions of warehouse maintenance
- Report any accidents to manager on duty immediately.
- Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the company.
- Obtain from the Warehouse Manager approval prior to working more than your regular schedule.
- Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
- Perform all work activities in accordance with the safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
- Adapt to any new responsibilities required by the Warehouse Manager and Load Crew Manager.
- All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Forklift Certified required
- Previous use of warehouse equipment to include walkie rider, pallet jack, forklift, scanners, etc.
- Highly motivated to reach goals.
- Comfortable working as a team or alone.
- Access to reliable transportation. If driving an automobile while on company business, must possess a valid drivers license in state of residence and auto insurance. Must be able to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screen.

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Constant (67 - 100% of time) required to walk and talk and hear.
- Constant (67 - 100% of time) required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel object, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Constant (67 - 100% of time) lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently (34% - 66% of time) Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
- Constant (67 - 100% of time) exposed to moving mechanical equipment and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
- Occasionally (more than 10%) weekend and/or overtime work.
