Delivery Material Handler/Crane Operator
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Roof Top
Reports directly to the Branch Manager and indirectly to the Regional Manager on branch and personnel issues. Reports indirectly to the Safety Coordinator regarding fleet, safety, and staff.

Delivery Material Handler/Crane Operator
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Delivery
- Responsible for loading or assisting in loading and securing materials on trucks daily.
- Assists in verifying the quantities of materials for accuracy.
- Assists driver in locating the job site.
- Spot driver when backing up into a job site.
- Direct driver in placement of the conveyor.
- Assists in loading and/or securing materials on trucks daily by using crane, conveyor, piggybacks and/or by hand.
Roof Top
- Responsible for climbing up to a 40-foot ladder to deliver materials on a pitch of up to an 8/12 roof.
- Ensure proper stacking and distribution in the placement of materials on the roof.
- Ensure truck is properly equipped for delivery including filling cooler, strapping materials, loading ladder, and other as needed.
- Responsible for OSHA compliance as it relates to oneself and t company
- Assist in taking inventory quarterly or as needed.
- Maintain warehouse, yard, and trucks in a proper presentable manner. Minor repairs as needed.
- Responsible for the safe handling of materials including wearing back brace, gloves, shoes, and other safety devices as appropriate. Responsible for aiding in the safe operation of vehicles as it relates to the customer’s property and Gulfeagle’s property.
- Aiding Customers with materials, reporting problems with deliveries, service issues, and all other as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Delivery Material Handlers must possess the following qualifications, or their equivalent as determined by the Branch and Warehouse Manager:
Education, Experience, And Licensing
- Read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish as required by the branch location.
- Knowledge of roofing material and/or construction and distribution.
- Certified to operate a crane (knuckle boom, drywall boom, cable crane, etc.)
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb
- Must lift up to 100 pounds of material continually for up to two hours at a time.
- Ability to work on multi-story buildings at various heights.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, rain, or shine.
- Requires a high degree of attention to ensure proper delivery while preventing damage to materials and equipment.
- Ability to maintain loyalty to Gulfeagle Supply
- Ability to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner. Tact and diplomacy required in dealing with customer personnel at delivery points.
- Ability to handle all functions of the job in a safe manner.
