Position Summary
The Landscaper is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor on the landscaping team. This position will operate a variety of hand and power tools, clean and prepare sites, trim natural environments, dig trenches, clean up debris and remove waste materials, and assist Foreperson as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Perform a variety of tasks and assigned work duties involving strenuous manual labor in outdoor projects and worksites
· Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
· Load and unload trucks, haul and handle materials, and materials storage
· Carry out open and close duties
· Perform required light maintenance of equipment
· Perform other work-related duties as assigned
· Must understand or be willing to learn proper Gardening skills: mowing, edging, string trimming, using a blower, weed pulling, weed spraying, shrub trimming, vine trimming
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
· Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work
· Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in landscaping work
· Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
· Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions (must be able to lift 50 lbs)
· Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
· Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
· Ability to endure the extreme Florida temperature

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
