Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in transforming physical media into digital formats for our clients. You’ll work directly with customers' tapes, films, and photographs, using specialized equipment to perform the conversion and editing processes. Attention to detail is essential as you'll ensure the best possible quality of media conversion while maintaining our high standards.
Duties
- Digitizing Media: Convert various types of physical media into digital formats using standard equipment.
- Editing & Enhancement: Occasionally edit photos or videos using software such as Photoshop or video editing programs.
- Managing Files: Organize, store, and manage digital files to ensure efficient retrieval and high-quality outputs.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on both the physical media and digital output to ensure the highest standard of work.
- Customer Interaction: Answer phones, respond to customer inquiries, and assist with order tracking.
- Administrative Duties: Create invoices for completed jobs, maintain logs, and update client records.
- Upkeep Machinery: Regularly clean machines to ensure no dust buildup occurs and the machines continue to function normally.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Familiarity with Adobe, Photoshop or other photo and video editing software.
- Helpful (but not required): Knowledge of vintage media formats and equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented, with an eye for quality in both physical media and digital output.
- Customer Service: Comfortable interacting with customers via phone, providing updates, and answering questions.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to work with various media equipment (VHS players, film scanners, etc.) and handle basic troubleshooting.
- Self-Motivated & Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
- Training Provided: No prior experience with digitization required—training will be provided on all aspects of the role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
