What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Gwinnett Endocrinology?
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and billing/coding
- Provide patient education on medical conditions and treatment plans
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training/experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic life support
- Proficiency in medication administration and inhalation techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent patient service
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record keeping
