H G Page is looking for a Full-time Dispatcher at our Poughkeepsie Location.
Store Hours:
Monday through Friday 7am-5pm
Saturday 8am-4pm
Closed Sundays

Responsibilities
Summary:
Coordinates the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of goods to customers and internal transfer to satellite locations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate daily deliveries by using dispatch software to match orders with available fleet resources in order to ensure the fastest, most cost-effective route and best use of resources.
- Maintains current database to reflect fleet resources, drivers and load builders.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with all customers and employees.
- Schedule the maximum possible amount of deliveries at all times.
- Ensure all deliveries have proper paperwork and have been updated real time in delivery software before any truck leaves the yard.
- Resolve all delivery problems directly with clients with the assistance of the Distribution Manager.
- Coordinates deliveries with Sales team as necessary to provide top notch customer service.
- Report safety and performance issues of trucks to Director of Logistics promptly for resolution.
- Assist in accident investigation process to determine root cause of accidents or damage and in establishing recommendations for process or procedure changes for future safe operations.
- Supports, identifies, documents and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
