SUMMARY

The HR Generalist is a key partner in supporting business operations through effective human resources practices. This role delivers high-impact HR services to employees and people leaders, ensuring alignment with the enterprise’s goals and values. The Generalist plays a vital role in employee relations, HR processes, onboarding/offboarding, and operational HR support, while contributing to the continuous improvement of HR service delivery.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR matters including policies, employee relations, performance management, and development.
  • Support employee relations by helping to resolve workplace issues, coaching managers on corrective action, and ensuring consistency and fairness in handling concerns.
  • Facilitate communication and engagement efforts to support organizational culture, change initiatives, and leadership messaging.
  • Coordinate and process HR transactions including compensation changes, leave of absence documentation, payroll updates, and position management.
  • Provide operational HR support through data collection, preparation of reports, and response to compliance and audit requirements.
  • Partner with the broader HR team to support the implementation of enterprise-wide HR programs and systems, including change management, communication, and training.
  • Actively identify opportunities to improve HR processes and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • Respond to employee inquiries on a variety of HR topics such as PTO, benefits, policy interpretation, and HR systems navigation.
  • Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire orientation, system setup, exit interviews, and compliance tasks (e.g., DOL notifications).

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field
  • 3 years of progressive HR generalist experience, preferably in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of HRIS platforms (UKG preferred), along with experience in payroll or timekeeping support
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR policies, and compliance standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a proactive and collaborative approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with HR data and reports
  • Passion for supporting employees, solving problems, and continuously improving how HR supports the business
