Job Overview
H&R Labor is hiring an experienced, motivated, and high-performing Recruiter to support our growing client base across the Agriculture Processing, Food Manufacturing, Packinghouse, Warehouse, and Light Industrial industries.
This is not an entry-level role — we need someone who truly understands what it takes to recruit in high-volume, fast-paced environments. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong pipeline of talent, filling urgent job orders, and helping our company attract, hire, and retain dependable employees based on our clients’ production demands.
A successful Recruiter at H&R Labor is resourceful, disciplined, fast-moving, and able to recruit using both traditional methods and creative “boots on the ground” strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
· Execute full-cycle recruiting for high-volume staffing needs (screening through onboarding).
· Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates across multiple active job openings.
· Source candidates through: referrals and community networking; social media and local outreach; job boards, recruiting databases, and grassroots recruiting strategies.
· Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews to evaluate work history, reliability, attitude, availability, and job fit for production/warehouse environments.
· Match candidates to client needs while ensuring strong performance expectations are clear upfront.
· Maintain accurate candidate notes and recruiting activity inside our ATS/CRM system.
Job Orders, Posting, and Hiring Support
· Work closely with leadership and operations to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities.
· Create, update, and improve job postings and job descriptions as needed.
· Post jobs to appropriate recruiting channels (really, social media, local boards, community networks, etc.).
· Support job kick-offs by gathering job requirements, schedules, expectations, and must-have criteria.
Candidate Experience & Retention
· Act as a point of contact for candidates throughout the recruiting and selection process.
· Build strong candidate relationships to improve show-up rates, retention, and long-term workforce stability.
· Communicate job expectations clearly to reduce turnover and improve success rates.
Orientation, Onboarding & Coordination
· Coordinate orientation schedules, onboarding sessions, and training support.
· Ensure new hires understand policies, safety expectations, and client requirements.
· Partner with internal team members to ensure onboarding paperwork and readiness is complete.
Reporting & Accountability
· Provide daily recruiting updates on open positions, pipeline status, and placements.
· Provide weekly reports showing roles filled, roles pending, recruiting challenges, and action plans.
Client Support (Recruiting-Focused)
· Support client staffing needs by understanding urgency, production volume changes, shift demands, and attendance expectations.
· Assist internal teams in presenting strong candidates and keeping hiring timelines on track.
· Occasionally visit sites or attend hiring events as needed for recruiting success.
Preferred Skills / Bonus Qualifications
· Experience working with ATS/CRM platforms (TempWorks, Zoho, Bullhorn or similar).
· Skilled with social recruiting, referral programs, and community outreach.
· Strong time management and ability to prioritize urgent roles under pressure.
· Driven, competitive mindset with a strong sense of accountability and urgency.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience required (staffing agency preferred).
· Experience recruiting for warehouse/manufacturing/production roles.
· Agriculture processing / packing / food manufacturing recruiting experience strongly preferred.
· Strong ability to screen, interview, and evaluate candidates quickly and effectively.
· Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-moving staffing environment.
· Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly (ATS/CRM, Microsoft tools, etc.).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
