What are the responsibilities and job description for the Redi-Mix Driver position at Haas Inc.?
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB (SUMMARY): Primary duty is driving a
redi-mix truck to deliver material to customers at various locations as assigned.
Must possess a valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drives truck to deliver material to customers.
- Performs daily and routine maintenance on vehicle for continued operation.
- Maintains regular attendance and works mandatory over-time.
- Performs daily pre trip and post trip inspections on vehicle.
- Notifies shop supervisor of any repairs needed and schedules time for repairs.
- Complies with all local, state and federal regulations.
- Complies with all company and government regulations.
- Works in a cooperative manner with others.
- Performs all duties, including driving, in a courteous manner.
- Completes and submits all required paper work correctly and in a timely manner.
- Operates various hand tools and performs medium to heavy manual labor.
- Ensures that the load is properly mixed and of the correct consistency.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Operates mobile/heavy equipment.
2. Works with mechanic to perform repairs to truck.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
1. Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instruction.
2. Working knowledge of the vehicle he/she is driving – engine, brakes, lights, etc.
3. Possesses valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License.
4. Visually able to observe surroundings.
5. Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, squat, crawl, kneel, grasp, grip, lift, pull, push and reach continuously. Includes the ability to climb stairs and ladders.
6. Able to work safely and to follow company and government regulations.
7. Able to lift & carry 75 to 100 pounds frequently – medium to heavy labor.
8. Able to work cooperatively with others.
9. Able to complete correctly and submit in a timely manner required paper work.
10. Ability to work in extreme weather condition – hot and cold.
11. Ability to drive and perform duties in a safe and courteous manner.
12. Able to work over time as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
