Position Title: Construction Painting Crew Leader/Volunteer Site Manager
Reports To: Director Of Construction & Director of Volunteers
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Crew Leader to oversee and coordinate our team builds. This role involves supervising and leading volunteer groups on-site, managing safety equipment and supplies, and ensuring effective communication with volunteers, homeowners and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of painting and landscaping and possess exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Supervision:
Experience:
Heavy lifting-
Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and repetitively. (For example, a 5 gallon bucket of paint)
Physically Demanding
40 hours/week; Tuesday thru Saturday. Supervisor will schedule accordingly. This position requires working Saturdays. Days off are Sundays and Mondays.

- Oversee the use of safety equipment and ensure that all safety protocols are followed on-site.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and safety equipment, ensuring that all items are in good working condition and readily available.
- Order and replenish supplies as needed.
- Act as a liaison between the Habitat for Humanity team and homeowners, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure that the needs and expectations of homeowners are communicated clearly and managed effectively.
- Apply basic painting and landscaping techniques to assist in completing home builds and beautification projects.
- Train and guide volunteers in these tasks to ensure high-quality results.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a construction or volunteer-based environment.
- Basic knowledge of painting and landscaping techniques.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage volunteers.
- A proactive, self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
