The Material Recovery Specialist is responsible for donated product recovery and removal, and training of volunteers and other individuals or groups performing work at any recovery job site. The Material Recovery Specialist ensures safety and order is maintained and that volunteers and donors have a positive experience.

Responsibilities:
· Perform recovery and removal tasks at donor work sites to procure donated product.
· To continually monitor job sites and to provide written job progress reports as requested by the Material Recovery Supervisor.
· To set up site at start of work day, ensure that donor property is protected from damage during recovery and that donor has positive experience
· Assist with daily shift orientation which shall include safety awareness, HFHKC affiliate information, and convey relevant work information for the day’s project.
· To work with, train and encourage volunteers in various recovery tasks, engage every individual on the site in a positive and productive manner and ensure a positive volunteer experience.
Essential Job Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to work well with all types of people
- Must be insurable licensed driver in the state of Michigan; CDL preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexible with the ability to multitask
- Regular attendance required
