We are looking for a payroll specialist at our Fargo location. Candidates must be very detailed oriented, have good communication skills and be able to effectively manage their workload in a timely manner. Deadlines and busy work environment should not be overwhelming to the applicant.

Responsibilities
- Process payroll including generating paystubs, paychecks and direct deposits
- Maintain client files and employee information
- Process payroll taxes for federal and state agencies
- Prepare reports and fill out paperwork as required for audits, verification and benefits
- File and pay monthly and quarterly payroll taxes
- File quarterly and annual payroll tax forms, 940, 941 & W2/W3, along with state agency requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
- Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required
- Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
- Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Experience with ACS, a Thomson Reuters product, is preferred but not required
