What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Representative position at Halcyon?
The Role:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will help establish the function here at Halcyon. You will drive prospecting, nurturing, and generating pipeline and will impact revenue growth by attracting net new customers. You will play a very important part in supporting Halcyon’s enterprise sales efforts by driving engagement.
You will work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to target and develop business relationships within the strategic markets and move them along the funnel. Tactics will include (not limited to): email campaigns, telephone calls, social media, LinkedIn, developing targeted campaigns for nurturing purposes, online and offline events.. This is an exciting role that has tremendous opportunities for growth.
What you will be doing:
- As a Business Development Representative, you'll be responsible for outbound prospecting within both new logos and our existing customer base
- You will partner and collaborate closely with our Enterprise Account Executive Team and Marketing Teams to generate qualified sales leads, set meetings, and yield new deal opportunities
- Build, prioritize, and qualify strategic target account lists within a defined territory
- Ability to prospect and manage C-Level and senior level relationships within organizations
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest through cold discovery calls, and email campaigns
What you have done:
- BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or other relevant field.
- 1-3 years proven experience as a BDR or have some quota carrying experience. (ideally in SaaS enterprise software).
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with prospects.
- Good listening and problem-solving skills.
- Solid nurture campaign tactics and management, including the ability to identify appropriate messaging for targeted personas.
- Experience with outreach such as cold calling and emailing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven with strong time management and organization skills.
