The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of experience in municipal roadway, drainage, and water/wastewater utility design, with 3 years of Project Management experience. What You Will Do
- Responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of municipal roadway, trails, drainage, and water/wastewater utility projects.
- Conduct and manage design and plan production.
- Manage clients and supervise technical staff.
- Provide training/mentorship of other engineers.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in municipal infrastructure design (minimum 3 years of Project Management experience)
- Experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and general knowledge of local criteria including NCTCOG and/or TxDOT
- Strong technical knowledge in municipal transportation and infrastructure design
- Experience in trail/shared use path design is preferred
- Ability to manage transportation, drainage, or water and wastewater projects and lead/mentor staff
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required
- Experience managing design and plan production
- Ability to manage clients and supervise technical staff
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
- Diverse and interdisciplinary teams can manage projects from inception through completion.
