Supply Chain Scheduler

Applications are now invited for the above position at the Harwich Manufacturing Centre. Purpose:

• Planning, coordinating and policing the issue and control of all PTW and other safety-related activities, such that the system is effectively managed.
  
  

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• To work pro-actively with Process and Engineering to ensure all PTW activities are correctly planned, reviewed and issued in accordance with the site rules and regulatory requirements;
• To plan ahead all PTW and other safety-related activities. This will include identifying if a PTW is required and the reviewing of Method Statements and Risk Assessments. Likewise proposing safer alternative methods of work.
• To liaise with the process and engineering team to ensure that PTWs are issued in line with associated related activities that may be taking place;
• To ensure all isolations and de-isolations are correctly planned, controlled and completed in accordance with site rules and regulatory requirements;
• To ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with the PTW;
• To review jointly with the SHE-QA department all completed PTWs. To provide feedback as appropriate to PTWs issued by others;
• To provide recommendations for improvements to the PTW system;
• To comply with all processes and procedures covered by accreditation to ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001;
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

We want somebody who will actively promote a culture of health and safety in the workplace and who will take the initiative in identifying and developing new procedures and ways of working which will support this culture. In addition the successful candidate will have:

• Excellent communication and influencing skills;
• Strong personality to enforce correct PTW and safety standards, to promote a strong safety culture across the refinery and to suspend any unsafe PTW or other activity;
• Ideally NEBOSH Certificate qualified or willing to work towards This is a day-work appointment, working alongside and across the current shift pattern to provide continuity and control of permit issue and authorisation. There may be a requirement to work extended hours during statutory shut-downs and other major works. Strict compliance with site and industry standards is required at all times.
