Local public accounting firm in Fort Wayne looking for a strong accountant to join our team. As an accounting professional with Hamil, Lehman & England PC you will begin your career with real-world professional experience. You will work alongside partners and managers on client engagements in a variety of industries to build your career in public accounting.
Responsibilities :
o Complete individual, partnership, corporate and non-profit tax returns
o Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences
o Prepare of monthly, quarterly, and annual compiled financial statements
o Complete audit workpapers on financial statement areas such as cash, accounts payable, long-term debt, fixed assets
o Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns
o Complete annual 1099 and W-2 tax documents
o Participate in client meetings alongside HLE partners and managers
Qualifications :
o Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
o Strong communication (oral / written) skills
o Close attention to detail
o Willingness to take initiative
o Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Quick Books (desktop and Online)
o Ability to multi-task and effectively manage deadlines
o Collaborative problem-solving attitude
o GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
