Red Bank Middle School is a 6-8 school located in Chattanooga, TN. Red Bank Middle is a diverse community with strong community support. We have implemented "The Red Bank Way" to drive consistent collaboration and communication with our feeder schools. We want students and families to experience this level of commitment as they transition from elementary to middle to high school in regards to instructional expectations and experiences.
Our goal at RBMS is to create an engaging learning environment for students through collaborative practices among faculty and staff. We want students to be able to have a strong understanding of state standards and how these standards create opportunities that will help shape their futures.
We are looking for educators who have experience working with diverse populations. Our teachers must be willing to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to advance our mission of educating the students in the Red Bank community.
Responsibilities
- Teaching & Learning - Deeply understand the Tennessee Social Studies Standrads and establish clear learning targets for every lesson. Build rigorous and aligned assessments and consistently implement high leverage literacy practices. Follow Hamilton County Schools’ instructional framework, including:

- Responsive Teaching and Learning
- Classroom Culture: Build a safe and productive classroom culture. Positive relationships are evident, procedures are clear, and the classroom is safe and secure for learning to unfold. Student and teacher interactions promote a growth mindset.
- Family & Community: Consistently develop strong relationships with students’ families while diligently informing parents of expectations, positive news, and/or concerns about their children. Provide opportunities for parents to be involved in their children’s learning.
- Professional Responsibilities: Actively participates in professional learning communities (PLCs) with colleagues in order to improve teaching and student learning. Reflect on instruction and leadership while contributing ideas, expertise, and time to the mission and goals of the school.
Qualifications

- Able to be a positive team-player and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, students, and families
- Open to being coached and receiving feedback in order to advance learning and growth for students
- Professional with high personal standards and integrity
- Teaching candidates must hold a valid state of Tennessee teaching certification in Social Studies 6-12 or 6-12 Social Studies or be upcoming graduates in an accredited teacher preparation program. If you hold a teaching license in another state, you must apply for a Tennessee teaching license.
- Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree.
Compensation
Salary is based on a combination of relevant education and experience.
Salary Scale

Salary : $44,900 - $56,900
