This management position will assist the Director in nurturing a culture of wonder in our centers by communicating with parents and staff of HHCDC, supervising daily routines and staffing, acting as a first-line problem solver, planning staff development activities, and developing operational guidelines and policies.
Immediate Supervisor: Center Director
Major Work Activities:
- Promote the vision of Hamilton Heights in accordance with the rules and regulations established by Child Care Licensing and HHCDC.
- Build relationships with staff and families that encourage safe, high-quality, and enriching child care. Communicate HHCDC’s philosophy and curriculum approach effectively to parents and staff.
- Innovate to increase center efficiency, effectiveness and quality.
- Lead staff to meet center goals.
- Observe classrooms and provide teachers with feedback and modeling.
- Identify improvement opportunities within the center operations and implement corrective action.
- Maintain records such as children’s enrollment records, menus, lesson plans, newsletters, account billings and accounts receivable.

Qualifications:
- Superb relationship-building and communication skills
- Embodies HHCDC Core Values
- Team player
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Three to five years of leadership experience in an educational environment
- Lots of energy, positive can-do attitude, and love for children
- Great communication skills
- Computer proficiency and willingness to learn new things quickly
- No conviction of a felony, violent crime, or any crime involving moral turpitude, child abuse, or neglect
- First Aid and CPR certified
