What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medication History - Pharmacy Technician - FT position at Hamilton Medical Center Inc?
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Pharmacy director, obtains medication histories for new patients coming through the Emergency Department. Medication history information will be obtained from the patient directly or the patient's family, retail pharmacy or physician office. Technician enters medication history into the electronic patient database or updates database if information already exists. Communicates completion of medication history to pharmacist on duty.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Licensure: Registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy required. Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a hospital or retail pharmacy technician.
Skills: Attention to detail and accuracy, dependability and reliability, effective communication, organizational skills, problem solving, collaboration and teamwork.
