About the Position:
Hamilton Memorial Hospital District (HMHD) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Department. This full-time position offers a dynamic and rewarding role, providing essential care in a 6-bed Emergency Department within a Critical Access Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Performs the primary functions of a registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients ages newborn through geriatric.
- Responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment on the unit they are assigned and for promoting team work with physicians and personnel of other departments.
- Responsible for meeting established standards of nursing care.

Emergency Department Overview: Our 6-bed Emergency Department operates 24/7 with an emergency physician on-site. As part of a Critical Access Hospital, we are committed to providing quality care to the community, ensuring patients receive the best care possible close to home. Nurses in this role may care for conditions ranging from cuts and broken bones to more serious emergencies like heart attacks or strokes.
Employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
- Current RN license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Minimum of two years of recent clinical experience.
- Maintain all required certifications as outlined in the scope of services for the assigned department.
- EPIC EMR experience is preferred.
Education:
- ADN required, BSN preferred.
